Technical Functional Analyst, BSA
Location: Remote in eastern Canada (ON, QC, NB, NS, PEI, NL)


  • Perform gathering, documentation and maintenance of business requirements, including work flow analysis and process engineering.
  • Write functional and technical specification documents.
  • Write clear, concise, consistent User Stories which accurately decompose high-level concepts and requirements into detailed, workable deliverables.
  • Constructs workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, data modeling, and system models.
  • Provide detailed clarification of business requirements to developers, quality assurance engineers, product owners, etc. throughout the development cycle.
  • Collaborate on the development of user acceptance test plans and support their execution to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied for product owners.
  • Participate in the grooming of the product backlog.
  • Assist quality assurance engineers during functional, integrated, and acceptance tests.
  • Communicate all functional changes to the technical writer so they can be incorporated in the user manual and release notes.




  • College diploma or a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or a related field;
  • 3+ years experience in a similar position.
  • Previous software development experience.
  • Experience gathering requirements and creating documentation from requirements.
  • Experience with UML and entity-relation modelization.
  • Experience with designing wireframes and workflows.
  • Experience with designing REST and API endpoints.
  • Experience with using and designing SQL databases.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience with Jira or any ticketing/work management system.
