Job Description:

Designs user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products. Writes functionality design specifications. Design and implement prototypes, mockups, task analysis, usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams. Generates design ideas; presents and sells designs to product group. Understands customer needs and motivations and integrates them into product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Skills: 3-5 years’ work-related experience required. Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required. Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas are required. Experience creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required. Strong knowledge of web technologies (i.e., HTML and CSS). Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) required. Strong interaction design and web technology skills (i.e., Flash) may be required. Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites. Experience working with rich client or web applications is a plus. Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Must be familiar with industry standards and trends. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Background and knowledge in applications and well-being (e.g. meditation, fitness, coaching) preferred.

This is not a siloed role, so you would be working with a blend of consumer and enterprise focused tasks. There’s flexibility and creativity to innovate in the role. You get to interact with both partners and customers. Also, you’ll be helping to carve a new frontier in well-being solutions.

Candidate Requirements
 Years of Experience Required: 5+ years (10+ is helpful)
• Degrees or certifications required - More emphasis is on experience vs degree; more important to have the actual design and product experience with tech companies
• Disqualifiers – Lack of working with any software product; lack of work for a notable company that builds apps well; lack of understanding or interest in well-being and well-being/music app products.
• Best vs. average – Someone with experience working with apps and does it well having possibly worked at a notable tech company such as Microsoft/ Amazon/Google or Uber or similar experience. Also, a candidate that can operate equally well in both design and product experience as this is a hybrid role. There is an interest in someone who has an eye for design and understands UX.
• Performance indicators: Ability to prioritize; quality of work; attention to detail; ability to package things to be consume by both an internal and external audience
