Job Description:

In this assignment with Aquent's Client, you will collaborate with a group of creatives, producers, project managers, and cross-functional partners as they develop and execute integrated marketing communications efforts across multiple lines of business.

Key Qualifications

• Has 5-10 years of relevant experience in a resource or project management role within a creative or marketing organization

• This person has in-depth knowledge of project resourcing systems like Basecamp, Asana, and Workfront; and they can pick up new resourcing tools quickly

• Solid knowledge of integrated campaigns, digital campaigns, and different types of media production

• Highly familiar with digital processes and the creative process- particularly in areas such as design, conceptual advertising, and interactive

• Understands individual asset production as well as the full creative and productive lifecycle of all projects (in-depth knowledge of the role different stakeholders play throughout this process)

• Very comfortable working in a creative, dynamic, fast-paced and fluid environment - agency and/or compatible brand background required

• Able to understand complex project requirements, understand briefs, and recognize potential risks and dependencies relevant to resourcing

• Experienced in resource planning, allocation, and assigning teams - comfortable leading scoping exercises, including identification of biggest risks and blockers

• Able to run point capacity planning and ongoing resource management; know when to escalate flags and advocate for your resources

• Highly tactical and logistical; able to track rolling updates in a detail-oriented manner and communicate them clearly

• Very comfortable with juggling a wide variety of tasks associated with assignments and capacity management

• This includes out-of-office coverage, leave planning, leading team status meetings, re-balancing workloads, and more

• Someone who is level-headed and fair, who inspires trust from team; able to serve as a trusted confidant for confidential and sensitive information

• Must showcase extraordinary communication and social skills. The role requires a high level of patience, diplomacy and fortitude and a strong voice

• Background as a creative services and/or creative operations manager is a plus


• Build strong rapport with members of the department you support, in addition to partnering with functional and operations leadership and/or key vendor contacts

• Have strong data set skills, being able to create and manipulate data and figures for forecasting, planning and effective budget reviewing

• Host weekly check-ins with key stakeholders to ensure efficient assignment of all projects, identify excessively or under-utilization of talent, and solve any potential resource gap areas

• Lead weekly resource meetings reviewing and presenting the slate of incoming work

• Identify skills-to-career aspiration matches of individual contributors to the appropriate projects

• You're an expert at balancing workload across internal teams, freelancers and agency/vendor partners

• Review candidate portfolios with a view to skillset match for open roles, and work with Ops and staffing vendors to onboard successfully

• Support your partners with quarterly and fiscal year planning by forecasting future hiring and freelance needs based on provided roadmaps.

• Mediate resource sharing issues with functional leads and the Lead of Resource Management

• Collaborate with the Marketing Creative Ops team on freelance needs when external resources are needed

• Ensure the successful on-boarding/off-boarding of all employees (FTE, vendors and freelancers)

• Shape resource management tools, systems and templates- constantly striving to improve processes and workflow standardization
