Job Description:
Our gaming client is looking for a smart & imaginative Senior Product Manager with mobile game development experience, that thrives in an agile environment. The right fit is someone who enjoys creative problem solving, learning new technologies, loves gaming & collaborating and taking ownership & pride in the work that they do. We are a small collaborative team and each member wears multiple hats to keep things fresh and interesting!
Responsibilities
- Own mobile game product development, strategic vision and business ops for new or an existing game
- The ability to translate game data into a digestible format to the development team to help support features and overall design decisions
- Analyze data and utilize best practices to ensure optimal decisions are being made in-game
- Understand the game economy and apply knowledge to guide live-ops optimization to maximize retention and revenue
- Become the authority in the psychology of games
- Work closely with the design team and create a problem space for them to design into
- Set, then deliver, business goals for new features
- Work with game team to prioritize the highest-impact features for improving revenue and retention
- Build a comprehensive understanding of what features and themes increase user engagement
- Develop test plans for new features, including forming hypotheses, variant configurations, and quantitative success criteria
- Present product updates, KPIs, and other analysis to everyone from executives to the full game team
- Manage feature development from concept to launch, then make live optimizations based on analysis and player feedback to further improve performance
- Coordinate and inspire engineering and design teams – and LOVE it!
Qualifications
- You love games! You have a passion for creating new game features and playing computer games
- At least 6+ years experience in the games industry
- Ability to pull your own data with a fluent understanding of SQL
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with an emphasis on metrics driven decision making
- Experienced product leader with goal-oriented mindset and the ability to set clear milestones and objectives
- Strategic thinker who loves creating incredible user experiences
- Can graphically create wire-frames and give interface direction to the UI team.
- Social, online and/or iPhone/Android product management experience
- Knowledge of mobile technology -- its boundaries and unique potential as it applies to games
- Game design and/or UI/UX background and experience
- Python/scala and understanding of data pipelines
- Experience writing SQL queries and distilling complex analysis into actionable insights'
- Experience using Tableau and other reporting BI software
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager and has recently launched or worked on a chart-topping game
