Brand Copywriter
A cult favorite boutique beauty brand is seeking a creative-minded, self-starting individual to join the creative team in New York City. Reporting to the Copy Manager & Content Strategist, this role will help hone brand voice and create content across social, retail, web and additional platforms. This meticulous, adaptive individual should be a “native speaker” of all things beauty and skincare, and must leverage both right and left brain to deliver innovative and imaginative work while maintaining an analytical mindset and an extreme attention to detail.

● Concept campaign messaging for product launches, seasonal marketing moments and more
● Write weekly Instagram stories and develop ownable content series for social channels
● Ideate fun, on-brand, relevant social graphics that tap into the cultural zeitgeist
● Utilize SEO best practices to optimize copy and attract new visitors
● Create and adapt copy for retail executions, such as in-store fixtures, signage, takeaway cards, supporting
graphics and more
● Identify opportunities for brand growth across messaging channels, including but not limited to social, blog,
web, paid ads, and emerging media
● Assist in creating content guides to ensure consistent messaging across platforms
● Analyze performance reports to identify trends and opportunities and execute accordingly
● Be a champion of Supergoop! brand standards and an adherer of AP style
● Proofread work and maintain a high standard of excellence in all that you do
● Bring a passion and enthusiasm to work, along with a deep personal knowledge of the beauty industry
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, adaptive environment
● Social media savvy with an ear and eye for what’s trending
● Experience adapting messaging for a variety of platforms and audiences, as well as a desire to further
develop writing talents
● Excellent project and time management skills, including the ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage
an ever-changing workload
● Collaborative spirit; a team player with a sunny disposition
● High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks; a proofreading pro
● Creative and active problem-solving to drive on-time and quality delivery for all projects
● Personal passion for the beauty industry, particularly skincare and suncare
● Excellent communication skills and ability to present with confidence
● 3+ years of experience in a copywriting or similar role
● Journalism, English, or Communications degree preferred
● Experience writing in the skincare or beauty industry preferred
● SEO experience a plus
