The QA Lead works with Producers and QA Manager(s) to ensure testing coverage and support needs are being met. They will coordinate with the QA Project Manager to request additional resources/assistance as needed (staffing, equipment requests, etc.) and help refine team process. They are the ultimate point of contact for the studio production and leadership on the titles testing health and quality in their area. They will work closely with Development Support and Core QA Team Coordinators to create and manage the organization and delivery of testing schedules and focus. They will attend leads level meetings to help identify risks, provide estimates on testing capacity/coverage and raise concerns/listen to feedback. They are the face of QA at a project/title level and help provide confidence in the level of coverage on a title. They will help coach and mentor our Development Support and Test Team Coordinators and shouldn't be afraid to hop into the title to assist with testing as required.


• Previous leadership experience, coordinating teams through difficult situations

• Multiple development cycles experience (ideally from pre production to post launch)

• Experience writing testing instructions or briefs

• Experience estimating testing efforts

• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills

 • Strong documentation and organization skills

• Strong communication skills, comfortable interfacing with QA and Production teams Recommended

• Experience hiring and building a team

• Strong adaptable teaching skills (teaching to lots of different types of learners)

• Unreal Engine experience

• Jira, Confluence and SharePoint experience 

Nice to Haves

• Some familiarity with C++, C# or Python OR the desire to learn.

• Experience gathering and clarifying requirements from busy teams.

• Understanding or familiarity with uses of automation to perform workflow validation (level editing, art tools, etcetera) in engine (you don't have to write automation, but should understand how it can be best applied in your area).
