Job Description:

Project Overview: 

Client's mission is to build a unified collection of tools that help with program and portfolio management needs and scale for teams of all sizes. This solution will enable teams to operate effectively by simplifying tasks involving feature proposals, approvals, effort estimation, capacity planning, forecasting and status reporting.

 

Overall Responsibilities: 

Internal tools are critically important to Client's success, and directly impact the efficiencies of our teams. You'll lead UX on the development of an exciting new platform aimed at delivering unrivaled levels of efficiency and collaboration to the prioritization process. Within this impactful area you’ll work closely with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to rapidly evolve the platform, assuring adherence to strong UX principles.

 

Top Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively convey design ideas.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to strategize and build concise user-centric visions and journeys, and rapidly iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Define and develop design systems and integrate new features into products.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate with them to come up with creative design solutions when technical challenges arise.
  • Help guide creative strategy through promotion of user-centered design principles.

 

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in product design or UX
  • Experience designing enterprise-level solutions and platforms, working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
  • Experience working with Figma

 

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Expert with design tools to produce wireframes and high fidelity mockups.
  • Experience working with or extending design systems.
  • Experience with productivity and project planning/management products
  • Experience defining and providing overall creative direction for larger projects.
  • Experience partnering with UX Research to amplify research and design impact.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting usable digital interfaces.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
