Email Campaign Manager - Remote

Location: (Remote, EST or CST hours preferred)

Pay rate: $42-45/hourly, paid as W2

Duration: 7+ months, likely extension into 2023

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Email Personalization Specialist with experience optimizing email journeys for customers. This role is an integral part of our digital personalization team focused on creating targeted, highly-customized experiences for email recipients. This individual is able to partner well with cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative growth environment, has keen attention to detail, and is passionate about email marketing.


What you will be doing:

• Helping to evolve our digital strategy through personalization and enhancement of email messaging using strong analytical skills and a continual drive for improvement

• Managing the intake of email personalization requests including determining and documenting business requirements while working cross-functionally with others

• Assisting with the QA and post-launch monitoring of personalization elements for functionality, rendering, and data accuracy

• Continuously measuring experience effectiveness in order to regularly deliver analysis and results

• Managing scopes, timelines, and deliverables on multiple concurrent projects while working with a variety of internal teams as well as vendors

• Becoming an expert on our email personalization platform and while maintaining a current understanding of email best practices

What you will need:

• 3+ years hands-on experience managing the setup of personalized email campaigns

• Experience working with enterprise ESP’s such as Harmony, CheetahMail, Responsys, etc.; working knowledge of HTML a plus

• Experience or familiarity with real-time email marketing personalization services like Moveable Ink a plus

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams including external vendors

• Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically

• Self-driven and reliable with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

More Details:

The Email Manager is responsible for ensuring flawless, on time delivery of email campaigns supporting client marketing campaigns. This role manages list selection and segmentation, build, and deployment of marketing campaign emails. The Email Manager is an expert in email best practices and platform capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and peers within the Marketing team to deliver effective email marketing campaigns.
  • Manage the file selection and segmentation of email marketing campaigns & facilitate accurate execution of “file only” requests.
  • Collaborate with client marketers on optimal email design, creative, and segmentation to drive engagement and sales, assisting clients with agency creative process and legal approval.
  • Working within designated email platforms, build and successfully launch email marketing campaigns.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in platform capabilities and optimal email design and delivery.
  • Drive data driven campaign results back to client teams for continuous campaign improvement.
  • Ensure all campaigns meet required campaign documentation requirements.
  • Drive advancement and adoption of responsive design for mobile optimization.
  • Ensures adherence to company purchase order and invoice management procedures.
  • Drive continued MRM adoption and consistent usage by team and clients, including compliance with records retention.
  • Support Business CTC (Critical To Quality) management.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of Marketing or Digital experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience with one or more of the following: email marketing, database marketing, data segmentation, data collection, analytic reporting, digital marketing, web page building and/or html


Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience participating in a cross functional team
  • 3+ years email channel experience, with hands-on experience building and deploying

commercial email or equivalent experience with html/web page building

  • Experience in consumer financial services with exposure to a credit card or retail environment.
  • Experience working with data segmentation and data auditing
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems, develop new tactics and address implementation obstacles.
  • Strong Change Management skills - effective communicator, good at holding "crucial conversations" with clients and internal partners.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in computer software programs including Microsoft Office and Project
  • Management or CRM software
