Project Overview

As a Research Associate, you'll have the opportunity to support research activities in developing innovative and user-friendly products. We are looking for individuals who enjoy usability evaluation research and are excited to focus their work on the  app. The role requires in-depth knowledge of the usability methodology and experience conducting evaluation research in a fast-paced technology environment. 

Overall Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative research in the lab and remotely that primarily utilizes usability methodology in an iterative research and design setting 
  • Produce findings and recommendation reports from research for product teams. 
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX researchers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.  
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with other team members. 
  • Work independently with support from more senior research team members. 
  • Be diligent, detail-oriented and have the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.  
  • Conduct usability research studies on the app with the product team and other user experience researchers.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

  • M.A./M.S./PhD. (completed) in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Sociology, or other fields emphasizing human behavior. 
  • At least one year of experience conducting usability research in a technology environment on mobile app software.

Desired Good communication skills, experience with google slides, sheets, docs: G-Suite.
