Job Description:

 

Overall Responsibilities: 

The RA will also support logistics including participants recruiting to ensure qualified users are targeted and secured for UX studies, resulting in the identification of bugs and gaps that will be tracked and actioned, ultimately improving the product. Additional duties include handling administrative overhead associated with user research studies, such as note-taking, transcription, creation of video clips, coding and synthesizing data, helping with reports/deliverables, and logging issues in Buganizer. 

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Recruit and schedule research sessions
  • Conduct research sessions
  • Prepare reports based on research insights
  • Coordinate with partners to fix identified issues

Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Some experience with qualitative research and/or user research methods, excellent observation and note-taking skills; detail-oriented; ability to be responsive to varying needs and changing priorities, able to learn and understand technically complex concepts in a short period of time
  • Bachelors degree, 3+ years of experience/education in research (academic classes, volunteer work, group projects, and internships count
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews and manage the flow of a conversation
  • Access to reliable network that allows videoconferencing with multiple people
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, such as to conduct videoconference interviews with people in other timezones. 

Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Able to demonstrate a portfolio of multiple qualitative research methods, such as interviews, usability tests, concept evaluations, card sorting, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to an audience using effective visuals and concise storytelling
  • Familiarity with quantitative methods, inferential and descriptive statistics
  • Familiarity with enterprise Cloud technologies

Skill/Experience/Education
