Job Description:

Aquent's Client is looking for an outstanding Technical Writer to help create and build a robust, high-quality documentation system for our fast-paced operations. Use technical and artistic skills for improving the clarity and ease-of-use of our technical documentation, such as operating and maintenance manuals.

You will collaborate with many cross functional teams, listening and drawing from their expertise, experiences, and needs. You will work within a fast paced and dynamic environment. You know how to set a higher bar for the quality and accuracy of your documentation and illustrations and will make recommendations for the continuous improvement of our processes and products.

Key Job Responsibilities:

* Create Maintenance Manuals, Checklists, Work Instructions, Inspection Procedures, User Guides

* Independently follow designs and standards to develop and deliver documentation

* Work as part of a team to produce conceptual, how-to, and reference documentation

* Collaborate with other writers on peer reviews

* Collaborate with Prime Air Engineers and continuous improvement experts to optimize and maintain content for usability and accessibility, while maintaining a high bar for quality

* Use writing expertise and extraordinary attention to detail to evaluate, uphold, implement, and evangelize content standards that reflect the voice of Prime Air

* Own migration and infrastructure building into a new content management system (CMS)

* Drive cross functional engagement with subject-matter experts (SMEs) for review and approval of technical illustrations and content

* Provide high-quality and timely technical illustrations for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) operating and maintenance manuals, such as wiring diagrams, layout diagrams, and illustrative computer aided design (CAD) renderings.

Basic Qualifications:

* 4+ years in a writing or lead writing role

* Experience using and setting up content management systems, especially in DITA, XML, or HTML-based environments

* Familiarity with the creation of user manuals, maintenance manuals, or service bulletins

* Knowledge of single-sourcing and content management best practices

* Demonstrated experience working with style guides

* Experience with CMS tools such as MadCap Flare and Oxygen XML

* Experience with CMS migrations

* Familiarity with CAD software application (CATIA/ENOVIA, SolidWorks, etc.)

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

* Excellent skills in grammar, technical writing, editing and adhering to style standards

* High attention to detail

* Creates, edits and proofreads procedural instruction documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with regulatory agencies, and regulatory requirements

* Experience developing illustrations, such as engineering drawings.
