We are hiring a Sr. UI/UX designer for a leading luxury home and furniture brand HQ in San Francisco, CA to work on the website opimazation and internet division. 

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience design, primarily in the
Retail or E-commerce domain 

Must be in the bay area as there is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

Overview of the Role:
As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will use your human-centered design skills to build best in class user experiences for our Pottery Barn brand. You will play a leadership role in driving the ideation
and UX for our expirementation program and other exciting website enhancements, working closely with developers, product managers, analysts and other UX designers. This role reports to the Director of
Site Optimization & Site Operations.

Responsibilities:
 Lead the user experience for a furniture luxury client projects focused on experementiation and other
website enhancements
 Identify and analyze design problems, make strategic design decisions, and generate elegant
solutions under tight deadlines in a highly dynamic environment
 Demonstrate expert understanding of UX methods, best practices and industry trends
 Synthesize customer feedback, user research, and analytics to drive insights that make an
impact  
 Translate abstract concepts into concrete sketches, user flows, wireframes, mockups,
prototypes, and journey maps and customize deliverables to specific customer needs
 Document and present experimentation and optimization ideas and solutions clearly and
effectively to senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams through written, visual, and
verbal means
 Lead the entire design process from discovery through implementation creating best-in-
class design solutions and understandable concepts that optimize user needs, business
goals, and technological realities across web and mobile platforms. Responsible for
delivering user experience visions, user journeys, end to end-user experiences, UI
specifications, wireframes, and prototypes
 Build strong relationships and work strategically with senior leadership, developers, product
managers, analysts and other UX designers to build industry-leading experiences 
 Develop processes and frameworks for solving design problems and continuously explore
new practices

Criteria
 You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience design, primarily in the
Retail or E-commerce domain 
 You have a wide range of experience in user experience including interaction design, visual
design, experimentation, information architecture, design systems, and user research 
 You have an outstanding design portfolio demonstrating strategic design thinking in your
projects 
 Experience/familiarity with CSS and responsive design. Experience building out responsive
design framework to an existing experience.
 Experience working closely with developers to perfect designs and adapt them to the
technical framework of a website
 You have excellent communication skills  
 You like to work in a fast-paced cross-team environment where you can drive design and
achieve consensus 
 Highly proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Principle, Photoshop, and Zeplin.
 Bachelor’s degree in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field,
or equivalent practical experience
