Job Description:
Responsible for designing user UI mockups, wireframes, and interaction flows which will help define the look and feel of new web-based and mobile software applications. We’re looking for a designer to create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet business needs and advocate for user-centered design. This designer will have a significant impact on millions of customers and on the creative direction of the product team.
Responsibilities:
-Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable web-based and mobile products in a team environment
-Create user-centered designs by considering business requirements, product requirements, market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings
-Participate in design workshops / design co-creation activities with project stakeholders; and sometime lead design workshops.
-Contribute to establishing and documenting UI architecture
-Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
-Participate in user research activities
-Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
-Contribute to the User Experience Team's shared knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and best practices.
-Present design work to the user experience team, product leadership team, and executives for review and feedback.
-Provide implementation support/consultation to front-end product engineering team members.
Qualifications:
-At least 1-3 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role,
-A portfolio or samples of work, demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions
-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
-Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
-Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
-Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web
-Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
-Proficiency in a variety of wireframing/prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch and experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator.
Preferred skills and experience:
-Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, or CSS to create functional prototypes.
-Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides.
