Job Description:

As a Research Assistant on this team, you'll have the opportunity to support our research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products that touch the entire suite of products. You will primarily be assisting in and/or conducting studies (using multiple methods such as remote testing on tools such as UserTesting, UserZoom, moderating studies, writing surveys, conducting diary studies, etc.). You will also be assisting other researchers with data analysis, reporting, and project logistics. We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills, are diligent, detail-oriented, and can work fairly independently. 


  • Partner closely with cross functional roles to plan, execute and present research that will drive product changes and ensure product excellence
  • Apply the appropriate research methodology as needed. Research methods could include lab studies, remote online unmoderated  testing,  RITE methodology, interviews, surveys  and field research. You may also be required to do literature reviews and heuristic evaluations.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data 
  • Create written and visual reports (including creating graphs, highlight videos, screen shots, slide decks, etc.)
  • Participate in product discussions, design reviews with teams
  • Lead research planning in collaboration with UXR, UXD and product teams 
  • Ensure effective communication of research findings and insight


  • BA/BS or Graduate Degree in: in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Science, Anthropology or other relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in user research role
  • Understands user experience research methods
  • Skilled at conducting in­-person interviews
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with and skilled at analyzing datasets (e.g., interview videos, transcripts, open­-ended survey responses)
  • Understands basic statistical concepts
  • Detail oriented and ability to work fairly  independently on research
  • Experience with project management and overseeing project logistics 
  • Can prioritize time between multiple projects and be flexible to changing schedules and project roadmaps
  • Interest in building/advancing a career in user experience research

Skills Needed:

  • Experience with testing on mobile devices 
  • Experience with remote testing services (e.g., UserZoom, UserTesting, Validately)
  • Experience with survey and other quantitative methods and tools (e.g.,Qualtrics)
  • Experience conducting  behavioral and foundational research
  • Experience generating impactful insights that can inform decision making
  • Can deliver research with tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to work in a fast­-paced team environment
  • Can work independently and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects
  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts preferred
