We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher with a passion to advocate for our customers through quantitative and qualitative storytelling. You will design and own the research strategy to better understand one of our customers’ biggest pain points - finding the perfect fit while shopping online. Research activities will span from generative work (field work, development of customer models) to evaluative work (usability studies, concept evaluation) using a variety of methods. Your work will help drive tactical and strategic product decisions that will impact millions of customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Create and execute against long-term research roadmaps that align to and inform high-level business strategy and user experience goals
  • Use multiple research methods to uncover customer needs and improve the end-to-end customer experience
  • Translate insights into measurable customer experience outcomes aligned to business goals
  • Advocate for the right research questions and prioritization of research; educate the organization on opportunities revealed by your own research and that of others
  • Effectively communicate customer insights to diverse audiences through writing and presentations, representing user research in product discussions
  • Create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers across diverse audiences, including designers, PMs, engineers, and business leaders

This position requires the ability to work with minimal direction and network proactively. You must be comfortable working on multiple segments in parallel, which is why strong organizational skills with the capability to multi-task are critical. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and will be able to thrive in a resource constrained environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in behavioral science, human computer interaction, psychology, or related discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience leading UX research using a variety of research methods, particularly quantitative methods involving large data sets
  • Very strong writing skills
  • A portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, and data visualizations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA/MS or PhD in behavioral science, human computer interaction, psychology, or related discipline
  • Strong command of quantitative data analysis and inferential statistics
  • Experience researching and developing experiences for global markets
  • Experience incorporating research in the software, design, and product development lifecycle
  • Experience working in a large and fast-paced software development environment of enterprise scale
