Job Description:

This company's Platform Programming team is seeking a Content Curator & Programmer to select, evangelize, and program apps, games, and entertainment content for VR products and merchandising surfaces. The role entails creative copywriting and the reviewing, selecting, and scheduling of immersive content with the explicit goal of increasing customer engagement and brand affinity. This role requires strong organizational and curatorial skills, as well as a creative mindset.


  • Craft engaging user-focused copy for various editorial programs and initiatives, including promotional materials, emails, notifications, and merchandising platforms
  • Perform curation and scheduling functions for immersive content, including games, apps, and entertainment
  • Support ideation of new editorial programs and inventory in accordance with ever-shifting priorities and goals
  • Use a combination of editorial insights, as well as data and analytics, to inform content curation, scheduling strategy, and program ideation
  • Support real-time programming changes to refresh and/or adjust content quickly to ensure priority content discovery
  • Triage systems and communication issues and problem solve with XFN stakeholders


  • 3-5 years of professional writing/editing experience at an established website, magazine, or marketplace.
  • Must be a self-starter who can independently prioritize projects and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail will be keys to success in this role.
  • Experience working with content and asset management systems and troubleshooting related tools.
  • Experience documenting and communicating processes, workflows, and schedules to XFN teams.
  • Experience driving processes independently and pushing projects to completion under strict deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • An understanding and deep appreciation of game culture, entertainment trends, and the games industry as a whole
  • Bachelor's degree. Journalism or English concentration is a plus, but other degrees/educational background, plus relevant work experience, will be considered
  • Extensive experience with immersive technology, app store marketplaces, and other platforms
  • Experience with proprietary tooling, CMS, CRM, Photoshop, and email marketing strategies and related systems
