Job Description:

We are seeking a Community Education Coordinator who can bring detail-oriented project management, liaison, and excellent communication skills to our Connecticut-based healthcare client.

In this Consultant role, you will join a team focused on supporting a busy health care community with a strategic marketing project plan that offers community education classes and events to ultimately convert community members to patients. 

You will focus on providing on-site and remote support and management at in-person and virtual events as required. With proven experience managing projects, communicating thoughtfully, organizing effectively and operating independently with initiative to support the team's efforts in achieving objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall project planning, coordination, and support to execute community education classes and events in both the virtual platform and in-person venue
  • Support and coordinate with healthcare providers and medical office staff who are instrumental in class execution and class instruction
  • Coordinate the creation of advertising and marketing communications to promote classes and events through collaboration with internal teams
  • Collaborate with regional marketing managers and directors to create relationships and strategies for all promotion and share regional provider (instructor) information
  • Create and manage a schedule for classes, carefully attending to all the details such as location, AV support, presentation needs, giveaway items, refreshments, sign-in, surveys, etc.
  • Work with several outside vendors: class registration, digital advertising and their virtual class platform
  • Track classes and event results and maintain metrics reporting
  • Follow prescribed guidelines for handling proprietary and patient personal information
  • Provide on-site or virtual support and management when required, flexibility for frequent evening classes and events. Support could include attending and on rare occasions, moderating classes. 
  • Write, edit and proofread content with attention to detail to ensure written communications maintain a high-quality standard
  • Also act as gatekeeper for professional development, support group, and patient education classes and events for each region
  • Deliver high-quality work within established time frames
  • Respond to requests in a timely, professional manner that fosters rapport and builds relationships

Requirements:

Desired Candidates will bring

  •     3+ years in events and/or project management roles
  •     Experience focused on marketing or healthcare preferred
  •     Very strong organizational skills and focus on process
  •     Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  •     Ability to travel to event sites – 30% (Must be able to commute within CT)
  •     Demonstrated experience in working with teams across multiple organizations
  •     Demonstrated experience working independently with limited direction/guidance
  •     Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  •     Customer service skills and dedication to anticipating and meeting the expectations and requirements of business partners
  •     Excellent written (writting and editing) and oral communication skills
  •     Demonstrated skill Microsoft office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  •     Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of handling multiple priorities and projects
  •     Project management skills preferred
  •     Audio visual technical and virtual meeting platform experience preferred
  •     Associates degree
