Job Description:

Our client is a major pharmaceutical company seeking an IT professional with a marketing acumen who is well versed in all things SalesForce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate is passionate about maximizing the functionality of Marketing Cloud to optimize all marketing efforts. This role will work closely with the Associate Directors, Digital Channel Email and Marketing Automation Lead and collaborate with Marketing / Digital Engagement Teams to provide expertise on how to utilize SalesForce Marketing Cloud from a technical operations standpoint. 

Key Responsibilities:

SFMC technical support for:

  • New capabilities/modules such as Einstein, Datorama, Customer Data Platform(CDP), SFMC Email Consent Mgmt

  • Integration Support for tools such as Veeva Promomats, Content Personalization, GA360 connector (transition from Tealium), Validity (Everest), Litmus, Consent Hub, Campaign Manager/SFMC

  • Apple iOS15 support and tracking: User Agent data

Act as technical liaison for:

  • Email SME on deliverability, IP addresses, user agent

  • US IT: UAT, SFMC releases, integrations

  • Campaign and Reporting Analytics Team 

  • Global IT and Global SFMC Business Teams 

Provide Agile and non-Agile team support:

  • Operations and Enhancement – Agile Core team member

  • Vendor Management – SFMC Execution/operations

  • Vendor Management – DET Blueprint Ops

    • Blueprints/Next Best Engagement

    • UTM Tagging Operations

  • Email Rental Vendor Mgmt

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all technical and business guidance documentation is accurate, current and compliant.

  • Assess new capability (SFMC functionality, channel functionality, marketing technology) requests introduced by stakeholders or as a result of identifying new industry trends/best practices

  • Work collaboratively across stakeholders in the business and IT to identify and implement areas for process improvement.

  • Define and coordinate technical execution for new capabilities with IT, Digital Publishing team members and other stakeholders.

  • Lead pilot initiatives to implement new capabilities and to operationalize them for re-use in the organization across brands or channels.

  • Ability to support other digital channels as needed (ie. Banner, video, …)

Skills and Experience Needed:

3 years of experience combined in marketing, agency, or marketing support
5+ years’ experience subject matter expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email channel;

  • Experience in writing guidance, playbooks and technical documentation
    Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and project management skills.

  • Business Acumen, problem solving and demonstrated understanding of end-to-end Digital Marketing Process.

  • Passion for working with technology products and solving customer needs.

  • Leadership and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders.

  • Collaboration and influence - displays strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Education Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree

  • MBA degree is preferred
