In this client-facing role, you will be working on next-generation web, mobile, and in-store platforms; delivering product design work in support of next-generation platform development. You’ll have the opportunity to help millions of people navigate and manage their healthcare across a family of products and services. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of UX and UI designers, researchers, content strategists, engineers, and managers from product and marketing throughout the design process — from strategy to pixel-perfect design. At each stage, you will advocate for our customers and ensure that the final product meets user needs.

In order to be successful in this role, you need to be a well-rounded UI Designer; a master of creative problem solving with excellent attention to detail. You’ll have demonstrable experience designing for both web (desktop, mobile) and experience with iOS and/or Material native UI guidelines and patterns. Your mastery of typography, color, iconography and spacing will help us create engaging and elegant experiences. Finally, you exhibit impeccable communication skills that you leverage to ensure smooth and efficient collaboration with your other team members and stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Creating engaging experiences that elicit specific user behaviors through thoughtful application of visual design principles and elements, including imagery, color, typography, form, behavior, and motion. Able to adapt strategy and process based on evolving needs, priorities, and timelines.

  • Exhibit the highest attention to detail, terminology, appearance, accessibility, web standards, behaviors, and workflows. Able to iterate rapidly and create multiple solutions.

  • Expert at creating and communicating design specifications. Effectively uses design software and tools to produce attractive, intuitive, and effective designs.

  • Participates in and uses design critiques throughout the design process. Adeptly utilizes and contributes to the product design system. Strives towards a consistent brand image and aesthetic across mediums and interfaces.

  • Motivated participant and design advocate. Has a presence with the product team or customer group as a key contributor and proponent for design best practices to engage audiences. Proactively identify and communicate issues and proposes solutions. Work directly and collaboratively with Sr Designers, Product Owner and Engineering.

  • Participate in work planning and effort estimation based on requirements, complexity, and capacity. Support development teams throughout implementation and delivery.   

Qualifications:

 

  • 3-5 years of UI experience (well-rounded visual design work across mobile/web/desktop, bonus points for e-commerce, consumer-facing work, and launching to millions of users).

  • Demonstrable experience designing for both web (desktop, mobile) and native (iOS, Android) platforms. Experience with iOS and/or Material native UI guidelines and patterns.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem solving with excellent attention to detail, mastery of typography, color, iconography, design systems.

  • A proven ability to cultivate teamwork, cooperation, and build partnerships across product teams and organizations.

  • Highly skilled in Figma, Sketch, and InVision.
