Job Description:

Are you ready for that next big thing in your design career? How about helping us build and scale an amazing product design practice at one of the most recognized health care brands in the world…and one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies? Our client is embarking on a bold agenda to transform health care and empower millions of customers on their path to better health. We are looking for passionate, driven people who want to join a growing team to make a difference in people’s lives.

In this client-facing role, you will be working on next-generation web, mobile, and in-store platforms; delivering product design work in support of next-generation platform development. You’ll have the opportunity to help millions of people navigate and manage their healthcare across a family of products and services. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of UX and UI designers, researchers, content strategists, engineers, and managers from product and marketing throughout the design process — from strategy to pixel-perfect design. At each stage, you will advocate for our customers and ensure that the final product meets user needs.

In order to be successful in this role, you need to be a well-rounded UX designer who can solve complex business challenges while being an advocate of the user. You are able to conduct research to uncover user needs, navigate a large complex domain, map out current state vs desired state journeys, produce flows and wireframes that clearly illustrate the customer journey, and collaborate with other UX specialists to execute on the digital experience. You also know when to pull in other specialists (visual designers, copywriters, researchers, etc.) at the right time to execute work. Finally, you exhibit impeccable communication skills that you leverage to ensure smooth and efficient collaboration with your other team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Tailor design processes and methods to solve problems, add value, and create meaningful experiences within the product development workstream. Able to adapt strategy and process based on evolving needs, priorities, and timelines.

  • Expert at conceptualizing and creating design specifications. Effectively uses design software and tools to produce attractive, intuitive, and effective designs. Exhibit the highest attention to detail, terminology, appearance, web standards, behaviors, and workflows. Able to iterate rapidly and create multiple solutions – independently or guiding others.

  • Motivated participant and design advocate. Has a presence with the product team or customer group as a key contributor and proponent for user-centered design process. Proactively identify and communicate issues and propose solutions. Partner proactively and collaboratively with Product Owner, Stakeholders and Engineering.

  • Advocate and perform research activities as appropriate to inform designs. Use findings to inform, improve, and validate both design and strategy.

  • Participate in work planning and effort estimation based on requirements, complexity, and capacity. Support development teams throughout implementation and delivery. Help the product team identify and mitigate issues.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of UX experience (end-to-end work across mobile/web/desktop, bonus points for consumer-facing work and launching to millions of users).

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem solving, complexity/ambiguity wrangling, and excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate user needs (e.g. storytelling, leveraging data) and demonstrate how proposed designs solve those needs to internal team and senior partners

  • Skilled and efficient at creating sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, prototypes, and written documentation.

  • A proven ability to cultivate teamwork, cooperation, and build partnerships across product teams and organizations.

  • Skilled in Figma, Sketch and Rally.
