The Content Assistant works in conjunction with Content Coordinators to quickly and accurately process video and editorial content to properties, fulfill social media requests on a nightly basis and assist supervisors. This is an entry-level opportunity for hard-working individuals with a strong passion for hockey.

This position requires availability at night, and on weekends and holidays, as dictated by the NHL schedule and offseason. The Content Assistant position is a fully remote position at the moment. A return to our NYC-based office is possible in the future.

This is an entry level Content Producer assignment. Person will be working on NHL product, watching live games including at night and serving the 32 NHL clubs and NHL league office. Filling in requests (ask for video to be processed, certain tags, operating inside a content management systems) to be added. Writing very short description for hockey highlights, and some occasional video editing.. Some video editing experience is a really nice to have.. Working weekends, nights and holidays is mandatory.. Fully predicated on the NHL schedule. It’s critically important that they are flexible and willing to work those hours. 100% remote candidates welcomed.

• Process video and editorial content for publication on NHL properties

• Navigate multiple in-house systems to retrieve and distribute video and editorial content

• Fill social media content requests from teams, affiliates and partners

• Provide support to Content Services staff as needed

Basic Qualifications:

1. Solid knowledge of National Hockey League

2. Passion for sports

3. Willing to work weekends and on holidays as needed

Top 3 things of mgr:

1. Interested in sports and have a passion for it.

2. Proficient in AP style, strong grasp of written communication and grammar

3. Experience in CMS

4. Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of the NHL and passion for the sport of hockey

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Work well under pressure and tight deadlines

• Must be available late nights, weekends and some holidays

• Ability to work with a group of individuals in a shared digital space

• Strong ability to multitask

• Knowledge of Social Media platforms

• Professional judgment and conduct

• Experience with Adobe Premiere or similar non-linear editing software

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop of similar software

• Experience with content management systems

• Basic HTML skills

• YouTube publishing and programming

Required Education:
