This Marketing & Communication Specialist is a mid level position supporting key compliance programs within a Marketing and Customer Communication team under the Customer Experience umbrella. This position will be responsible for the day to day project management and overseeing the crafting and sharing of compliance related information to various customer segments. The position calls for strong verbal and written communications skills, broad knowledge of marketing (potentially automation) and the ability to lead campaigns in close collaboration with internal teams, marketing partners, business stakeholders and external technical teams. This person will develop a solid partnership with senior internal advisors in order to plan and implement customer communications for various state and federal compliance regulations. 



  • Design, develop and deliver a wide range of compliance communications materials in collaboration with other team members, and other departments (such as email and video blogs, newsletters, presentations, surveys, intranet content, reports, etc.).
  • Improve and enhance customer awareness by creating content and developing different platforms of communication, including website, email, social media, print media.
  • Write content to raise customer awareness of various company programs.
  • Understand and apply company branding guidelines.
  • Utilize and manage company communication tools/channels to most effectively reach customer audiences.
  • Create effective communication strategies for various regulatory and compliance programs offered to customers.
  • Develop, deploy and track metrics for measuring effectiveness of materials used in customer communications.
  • Ensure collaboration between functions on compliance-related communications and activities, working with other strategic stakeholders to ensure an inclusive and complete communications and promotion program.
  • Research, analyze and evaluate the industry landscape in collaboration with other team members to identify best practices, emerging risk areas, and other key topics which may require ad-hoc communication
  • Actively participate in team meetings and liaise with other departments and team members at all levels in the organization as needed.


Preferred Skills:

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, committed and creative individual who demonstrates initiative.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university with a preferred focus in english, marketing, communications or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer facing communications experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills with an ability to integrate strategic messages and target an audience appropriately.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to partner with people across all teams and levels in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with sound analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize competing priorities.
  • Ability to analytically benchmark and identify best practices.
  • Display follow through and an ability to push the work forward as needed.

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience or equivalent work experience in Marketing and Customer Communications.
