Play a key role is continuing to grow and establish a premium consumer goods brand

Our client, a leading brand in garden tools, kitchen and crafting categories, is looking for an experienced consumer marketer for their newly created role, Marketing Activation Manager, Americas.

As the Marketing Activation Manager, you will be responsible for all consumer facing marketing activities for the Gardening, Watering, Creating brands in the Americas (US, Canada and Latina Americas). You will ensure the implementation of the Global Brand and Marketing strategy, including media planning, campaigns, consumer promotions and new product launches and that they're on brand and also produce results. You will create and execute the consumer marketing calendar in the Americas to drive business success and brand growth. You will participate in creating and coordinating relevant growth-driving marketing activities for all categories. You will have ownership of planning the budget and targets for Americas specific consumer marketing activity plans according to global guidelines and hold responsibility for investments.
You will work very closely with the local Trade Marketing, PR and Communications teams to build comprehensive plans to ensure holistic marketing activation plans in the Americas.
You will undertake continuous analysis of the local competitive environment and consumer trends, understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research forecasts, and provide competitive analysis and campaign results to translate results into actionable insights. 

And, as Marketing Activation Manager, Americas, you will be a part of the Global Consumer Experience and Growth team and report directly to the global Director, Marketing Activation with a dotted line to VP, Sales, Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

o Owns and activates consumer Marketing activities in Americas and ensures consistency and excellence in execution inline with global brand and marketing strategy
o Creates the Americas consumer marketing activities calendar according to global guidelines, sets targets and reports on ROI
o Media planning includes identifying and understanding target audiences. Determining the most effective media mix to display ads. Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating media campaigns and strategies.
o Supports Trade Marketing in the creation of commercially viable consumer promotional concepts and ensures implementation guidelines are adhered to.
o Follows up and reports on consumer promotional concepts’ activations and shares best practices
o Using the global marketing activities calendar, the role supports Trade Marketing on customer/channel specific activities and actively participates from a consumer marketing standpoint in Joint Business Planning and key presentations for Top Accounts in area.
o Works closely with central Category team to create consumer marketing toolbox for NPD launches and feeds back to Business and Category team on category specific needs for the region
o The position ensures category strategies are executed with local relevance and drives a consistent execution of all consumer marketing activities and follows up on and supports long-term brand metrics are met in Americas
o The role ensures local trade marketing and KAMS are on boarded for brand marketing strategy.
o The role plans the budget and targets for Americas specific consumer marketing activity plans according to global guidelines and holds responsibility for investments.

Qualifications & Experience:
o Degree in Marketing, Business or Management
o Min 5 years’ experience with a focus on consumer marketing execution in a multichannel environment
o Understanding and experience of international branded consumer goods business
o Strong understanding of the media landscape, digital marketing and consumer behaviors
o Proven track record of formulating brand and product related communications plans to drive results for an international consumer brand
o Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing activities
o Ability to influence, create team spirit and commitment across a matrix organization through building effective networks
o Well organized with a can-do-approach to getting things done, walking the talk
