Our client, a beauty company located in St. Pete Florida, is looking for a Digital Designer to assist Creative Director in all aspects of developing original promotional artwork from campaign ideation to layout and production. Ensure all materials are visually impactful, in line with brand identity and effective in communicating business objectives in order to drive sales across all brand and State/RDA customer digital touch points (eCommerce site, emails, social media)
Work with Creative Director to brainstorm, conceptualize and design artwork for SalonCentric and State/RDA marketing programs, promotional events, contests, trade shows as well as internal programs.
Strive to exceed internal clients’ expectations by delivering a variety of original and imaginative concepts in line with creative brief and brand image.
Identify solutions to design challenges
Continually look for opportunities to elevate the creativity of design concepts as well as to enhance their impact and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Copy Writer to align copy with artwork so that key messages are reinforced through layout and vice-versa
Translate design direction to artwork and optimize graphics for web tiles, HTML emails and other digital vehicles.
May also be asked to take on design / production of print materials based print designer’s workload
Collaborate with Copy Writer to align copy layout with artwork
Prepare mockups for presentations.
Revise as needed based on Creative Director and internal client feedback
Execute final production including and uploading / hand off to technical teams
2-3 years graphic design experience in a creative agency or in-house creative department with a focus on digital design; retail or fashion / beauty experience a plus
Proven ability to develop visually-impactful promotionally-oriented designs tailored to different target audiences. Portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking and creativity.
Proven ability work collaboratively with other designers and copy writers to maximize impact, effectiveness and originality of all materials through critical feedback, creative brainstorming and receptiveness to trying multiple approaches.
Able to accelerate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment in order to meet tight deadlines. Able to respond quickly to changes in direction.
Working knowledge of print design and production
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash. Dreamweaver a plus. Strong typographical layout skills. In-depth understanding of color theory and digital.
Bachelor’s Degree in Design or equivalent strongly preferred
