Job Description:

This team's mission is to “make every thread an extension of your relationship.” We’re looking for a researcher for a 12-month contract role (December-December) who’s excited about helping people better connect and express themselves over messaging. In this role, you will be working with multiple cross-functional product team stakeholders within Expression and other researchers to identify user needs and problems and evaluate new product opportunities to help create intimate, fun, and expressive messaging spaces for people.

Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs & engineers to identify, define and deliver meaningful products into the world
• Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps
• Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle
• Contribute to product strategy, execution and go-to-market plan

• Experience designing and conducting user research, including generative and evaluative methods
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partner to generate & refine research questions
• Understanding of user experience principles and the product development process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to work independently (experience with autonomy) and manage one’s time (decision-making to balance demands).
• Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audiences
• Ability to translate research findings to actionable recommendations

• BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
