Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior UX Designer to own and advocate for an employee experience that powers a confidential new initiative. This role sits within a growing, cross-disciplinary team inventing new shopping methods customers have never experienced. You will collaborate with other UX designers, Design Technologists, Store & Product Designers, Operations, and Product/Tech teams.

Key responsibilities:
· Deliver viable designs for new programs and features from concept to deployment. Includes all current and future work across all proprietary business applications for managing a technology-enabled retail experience.
· Work with product management and engineering partners to create solutions that meet a high customer experience bar and fit with technology requirements.
· Deliver detailed design documentation and refined design standards to developers and partners.
· Balance design with retail operational objectives, resulting in extraordinary customer experiences.
· Work with senior management to prioritize your work; solicit and react to feedback, weigh inputs and priorities, and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve healthy debates
· Execute designs across the portfolio and within time constraints

Basic Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in visual/graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), interaction design, or equivalent professional experience. May be substituted with significant industry experience and accomplishments
· 6+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
· An exceptional online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions and patterns on mobile devices
· Work must consistently demonstrate a strong aesthetic judgment, in addition to exemplary UX skills
· Efficient planning skills to stay ahead of the work
· Skilled in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, and prototyping tools.

· Experience working in physical retail a plus
· Experience with non-standard digital retail touchpoints a plus
· Experience working in a collaborative team, partnering closely with product management to define use cases and requirements, and working directly with developers on implementation of your designs
· Proven ability to deliver a bold vision and iterate quickly on concepts to arrive at an amazing customer experience
· Fluency in information architecture and knowledge of usability principles and techniques
· Prior experience working in design for physical or immersive environments such as physical retail design, architecture, interior design, industrial design, environmental graphic design, physical retail, or similar fields
· Passion for learning and innovation, balanced with business needs and customer expectations
· Experience in user research, particularly in qualitative methodologies
· Expertise in typographic principles, motion design, and illustration
· Master’s Degree in visual/graphic design, HCI, interaction design, or related field. May be substituted with significant industry experience and accomplishments.
