Amazing ACCOUNT DIRECTOR Opportunity at Rapidly Growing Digital Agency -- REMOTE

Our client, a rapidly growing full service interactive agency, is looking for a Director, Account Management, to lead the strategy and development of the client engagement, including planning, execution, management and strategic analysis. The role will work in conjunction with the Senior Vice President of Client Services, the Vice President of Account Management, and the Account Management team to ensure ever-improving service as well as identifying opportunities to increase revenue for all clients.  

The Director, Account Management will have superior organizational skills and time management skills as they will be expected to manage the deliverables and scope all of our existing client work. The person must possess a service-oriented, positive attitude towards clients and colleagues, coupled with an appreciation of business realities and achieving deadlines.   This individual must have a strong understanding of how to leverage the agency’s capabilities (strategy, data and insights and channel experts) to bring innovative marketing solutions to clients. Responsibilities include building and growing strong senior-level relationships, providing strategic direction to the account teams, maintaining the financial health of the agency’s accounts, scoping projects and developing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clients’ performance marketing strategies and provide actionable channel insights that help our clients maximize profit and efficiency from their marketing spend
  • Leads Account Management team and clients by pushing forward with creative ideas, thinking, and thought leadership
  • Shares responsibility for 100% client retention by working with the leadership team to maintain mid to senior level relationships allowing us to proactively identify client risks or opportunities and managing client teams to effectively respond to these client needs
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of client’s marketing strategy and can extract insight from campaign data, identify relevant trends and provide well developed proactive recommendations to achieve longer term client marketing goals and objectives
  • Serve as trusted voice of the client by assimilating marketplace insights into the development of creative strategies and innovating digital campaigns
  • Use analysis to drive decisions in a way that yields measurable results
  • Assimilates and dives right into new pieces of business quickly while executing seamlessly
  • Develop potential for new platform/defining work
  • Ability to understand complex ideas/problems and articulate to clients in a simplified narrative -- strong storytelling skills
  • Monitor account profitability and ensure accurate billing and forecasting to ensure the financial health of the accounts
  • Exceptional problem-resolution skills including the ability to think creatively in the development of ideas/solutions that will contribute value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, management, organizational, and supervisory skills
  • Acts as mentor and trusted advisor to team members: Suggest workshops and training opportunities for team members
  • Works with the team to ensure that all client deliverables are met and client expectations are exceeded. This includes ensuring internal processes are followed, and that campaigns are being actively monitored and enhanced.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of client management experience – preferably online advertising, direct marketing, or e-commerce industries on agency and/or client side
  • At least 4+ years of demonstrated success in managing, motivating and leading an account team in the digital industry
  • Ability to lead team in highly collaborative environment to develop and execute Account Management strategies for clients in a variety of industries
  • Exceptional research, analytic, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience with developing Marketing strategy in a digital environment
  • Strategic and creative thinker with proven consulting skills -- always focusing on innovative, but measurable client solutions
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth of accounts via introducing existing or new channels
  • Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated budget management and resource planning experience
  • Self -motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations
  • High competency level in PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree required
