Specifically, our team focuses on crafting consumer-facing ad experiences across an entire video sharing ecosystem.
As a designer on our team, you will drive product design across multiple project areas. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders and other designers on the team in innovating and producing novel ad experiences that engage our consumers and excite our advertisers. We are looking for designers who enjoy simultaneously bringing to life to a blank canvas, and also diving into design details of existing experiences.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Create design deliverables, including storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mocks, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Have a strong understanding of visual design to craft beautiful and engaging ad experiences.
  • Help define UX strategy and partner with Product Management, providing input on product direction. 
  • Communicate design ideas and intent to both internal and external teams. 
  • Clearly rationalize and justify design work and advocate for users’ needs. 
  • Collaborate effectively on a team and be willing to explore all options. 
  • Work closely with user researchers to better inform designs through a users’ point of view. 
  • Work closely with UX, Engineering, Product Management, and Senior Management, and throughout all stages of the product cycle, from inception through to delivery. 
  • Understand business goals and seek to understand market, competitors, opportunities and challenges.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Create design deliverables, including storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mocks, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Work closely with user researchers to better inform designs through a users’ point of view. 
  • Work closely with UX, Engineering, Product Management, and Senior Management, and throughout all stages of the product cycle, from inception through to delivery.

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (in lieu of degree, 2+ years of relevant work experience required) 
  • Proven track record of designing and shipping successful software design experiences for mobile, tablet and desktop UIs and contexts 
  • Strong core interaction design skills, knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, and a good understanding of usability Adept at design software and prototyping tools (e.g. Sketch) 
  • Design portfolio showing a track record of fluency with visual and interaction design tools and ability to work within a highly technical environment; good understanding of technical requirements and limitations.

Nice to have Skills (not required):

  • MA/MS in Design or a related field (in lieu of degree, 3 years of relevant work experience required) 
  • Prototyping or front-end development skills 
  • Experience collaborating with user researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers 
  • Design leadership skills 
  • Experience designing for 10ft UIs
