Job Description:

Our large global investment client is looking for a Communications Manager for a long term role.

The Communications Manager is the key point of contact for associate and interdepartmental communications for Distribution and Marketing Enablement.

Key responsibilities include designing and executing communications strategy, complex and matrixed stakeholder management, and communications project management. The incumbent will work with stakeholders across DME to deliver communications to associates and business partners across Global Distribution to translate DME’s business strategy and priorities into strong, clear, and coherent messages. The role seeks to paint a unified picture of DME and all of its intricate pieces that is easily understood and consumed by associates and business partners alike. Creation of communication that also unites associates across DME while amplifying associate experience, and helping associates understand their position in DME and the difference they can make is under this leader’s remit.

The role partners with the Marketing Enablement and Change team to deliver impactful and timely associate communications including strategic projects and BAU communications. This role will also provide communications counsel, support and communication project management to the DME leadership team.

III. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

DME Associate Communications: Planning, Strategy and Execution
• Deliver high-quality, strategic communications consultation and execution directly aligned to business needs and priorities.
• Work closely with DME leaders to identify communication needs and recommend appropriate communication, channels, vehicles, and tactics to meet business requirements.
• Ensure that DME communications align and complement GDEO-wide, enterprise-wide, people-related/HR communication.
• Managing process for stakeholder communication review and approval including, but not limited to, business leaders, Corporate Communications and HR as needed etc.
• Track effectiveness of all communications activity and modify strategy as required to address gaps. 
Business Partner Communications: Planning, Strategy and Execution
• Development and implementation of overarching activity plan for DME, in line with distribution-wide plans and complementary to Business Unit activity.
• Development and delivery of communication plans for key business-driven projects with the use of robust metrics.
• Working with project and program stakeholders and leaders to develop communication strategies for communication crafting messaging, scoping impacted audience groups, scheduling, channels, and tactics.
• Managing process for stakeholder communication review and approval including, but not limited to, business leaders, Corporate Communications and HR as needed etc.
• Track effectiveness of all communications activity and modify strategy as required to address gaps. 
Messaging & Managing Communications Forums
• Supports the development of DME leadership (leader and direct reports, if applicable), associate and internal messaging and message maps.
• For specific projects, takes the lead on developing messaging (including idea generation as well as writing/drafting), with input and guidance from leaders, lead team members, and other key stakeholders.
• Consults with key partners (regional leadership, General Managers, HR Business Partners, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Brand & Corporate Communications, etc.) to develop messages to meet the overall objectives of the enterprise and firm’s associate communications strategy. Engages communications, marketing, and public relations peers and partners across the firm to share best practices, discuss special initiatives, align, and reinforce messaging where applicable.
• Responsible for the creation and oversight of cross-BU communications forums including, but not limited to, DME town halls, leadership team, online forums (i.e., GlobalNet, etc.). 
Stakeholder Management
• Manages multiple and complex relationships effectively across multiple Business Units including BU leadership, team managers, HR, business resource groups, Corporate Communications and Brand/Marketing, and project teams.
• Provide high level consulting expertise on communication, scheduling and messaging best practice.
• A trusted advisor and partner to the DME leadership team with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage expectations and competing priorities effectively.
• Understand key business initiatives and priorities ensuring that communications reflect and support business strategy/priorities/values.
Communications Consultation
• Providing editing and/or guidance to DME team members to ensure that associate-led or team-led communications are inline with DME-led messages, are meaningful, effective and reflect DME’s mission and vision.
• Giving DME team members tools to build good communications skills on their own, developing an element of self-service and directing them to appropriate resources.
• Providing counsel on communication, scheduling, and channel best practice in line with Enterprise guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of related work experience
