Job Description:

Our large nonprofit client is looking for a Project and Communications Manager for a long term remote role.

Responsible for supporting initiative team leadership and other project resources during the initiative’s lifecycle. Assist in the development and execution of communications, training, and event activations. Take and share meeting notes and update project plans as needed. Plan, monitor, and coordinate tasks. Responsible for assisting with the development and articulation of the program’s business strategy, tactics, integration, and coordination from internal and external stakeholders to deliver unified and consistent communications and programming products. Ensures staff engagement and manages/monitors strategic operational execution with all communications units. Participate in and document needs assessment meetings. Assist in the data collection and validation efforts.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must have strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and Visio. 7-10 years of prior experience in a Jr. Project Manager, Project Coordinator or Project Administrator role is required.

Armed Forces experience and/or Veterans status is preferred. Limited travel may be required.

Additional Job Details:
•Help create and update annual communications strategy and content roadmap for the initiative;

•Integrate communications, outreach, and engagement strategies into actionable production of programs, resources, and communications products that enable and support state and national units to execute and deliver;

•Develop and curate compelling content vehicles to increase initiative’s reach, relevance, impact, and value-proposition with target audiences, stakeholders, and general populations, such as customizable columns/OpEds, letters to the editor, news releases, media advisories, presentation decks, etc;

•Produce and/or update scripts for Town Halls (in-person, virtual, telephonic), podcasts, Call Center, programs, social media posts, paid/promotional vehicles (print and broadcast), including advertisements and Public Service Announcements (PSAs);

•Work with Internal Communications and Marketing team stakeholders to ensure the initiative remains well informed and coordinated with Enterprise messaging and navigate appropriate approvals as the chief liaison between the initiative team and national office units responsible for content signoff;

•Develop, manage, produce interactive digital engagements as needed, such as Facebook/Instagram “Live”, Podcasts, StreamYard, Microsoft Teams, Twitter, Zoom;

•Organize and manage initiative’s still photo imagery stock, including naming conventions, and assist state and national units to identify and supply images for program needs and informational resource development. Also, utilize external image/video systems and resources;

•Demonstrate experience, knowledge, and proficiency navigating and fully utilizing organization-specific communications systems, platforms, and processes platforms (including Cvent, Sprinklr, Creative Asset Portal, AMOS and others) to deliver proactive, integrated, multi-channel communications products pipeline with proper cadence, flow, and inflection points to maximize use at community, state, and national levels;

•Produce and place initiative content and information on upcoming events and activities with internal Enterprise communications channels and external stakeholder channels;

•Provide other ad hoc support to ensure appropriate communications, programs, and other contents are being developed and implemented;

•Develop strong working relationships and overall strategy to tactics understanding of initiative’s entire mission and focus in order to and identify any communications or content gaps that need to be addressed;

•Serve as chief logistics liaison with key stakeholders, third-party influencers, and external service/support organizations to be the point-of-contact for shipping and distributing initiative’s products and materials as well as conducting project management during in-person national event activations when the organization returns to national and community events.
