Job Description:

Our client seeks an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join the Global Business Marketing (GBM) team. This person will be responsible for organizing and completing regional and team specific purchasing activities. This includes working to understand business needs, and ensure Purchase Orders are properly requested, ordered and invoiced. The Purchasing Specialist will support the APAC and LATAM regions, global Partnerships team and work closely with partners to improve processes and maintain an efficient purchasing operating model. This position will be remote and report into the Global Business Marketing Purchasing Manager.

• Draft and submit purchase requests, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
● Maintain an efficient purchasing process and manage requests in timely fashion, per business SLAs
● Assist with the processing of change orders, PR revisions and PO cancellations
● Assist the business with requests requiring resolution of issues involving supplier onboarding, approval routing, invoicing and payments
● Ensure business owners are aware of their open purchasing Tasks, in addition to their responsibilities within the broader purchasing process
● Partner directly with GBM Purchasing Manager to escalate PO-related issues that are stalled or require additional documentation/information
● Work closely with GBM Purchasing Manager to prioritize business needs and stay up to date with the goals of the organization as they evolve
● Assist with ad hoc purchasing-related initiatives and perform other related duties, as assigned
• 1-2 years of relevant or related working experience
• Previous experience using purchasing or procurement systems/ software
• Strong organizational and time management skills, establishing priorities for personal workload
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to independently follow through with assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
• Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to provide proactive customer service and problem-solving solutions
• Track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring consistent high-quality results
• Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
• Can quickly grasp new concepts and process
• Experience in the marketing or tech industries (preferred, but not mandatory)
• Experience working within a global team structure or company (preferred, but not mandatory)
