Aquent's Client is seeking an experienced Producer to support a high volume of large-scale art installations in The Bay Area in partnership with an expanding team. The ideal candidate is someone who has managed art installation projects and has experience in managing artists and supporting their production, as well as strong communication skills and ability to navigate a fast-paced office environment and deliverables schedule. This role entails communication with architects, construction teams, artists, curators and producers to support the development and production of artwork commissions.

Responsibilities + Requirements:

  • Work with  curators and producers to deliver up to 100 art installations per year and contribute to logistical planning, including fast-paced scheduling with cross-functional teams
  • Support logistics for all phases of high-volume art installation production schedule
  • Effectively communicate and correspond with partners to coordinate project schedules and details, acting as liaison between artists, vendors and internal teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing conservation and maintenance tasks in collaboration with the team
  • Complete special projects to support the team, including file preparation and production support for digital art content
  • Provide administrative support including facilitating contracting and onboarding for individual artists
  • Collect information for pre-production efforts of artwork, including online research, special equipment sourcing, and hosting artists site visits
  • Communicate and conduct research related to artists’ development, fabrication, and preparation for large-scale installations
  • Prepare high volume diagrams, photographs, and measurements of art installation sites.
  • Support production of high-res print files and artist mock-ups on occasion
  • Communicate with site staff and Security teams to ensure artist access and support
  • Coordinate with Facilities partners and manage storage and equipment needs
  • Coordinate with Facilities partners to deliver artist safety trainings
  • Prepare artist installation site setup in advance of installation and support post-production clean-up
  • Support artists for the duration of their installation, and troubleshoot challenges as they arise. Weekend and evening on-call support of artists can be required on occasion.
  • Support artists with travel, meals and accommodation info, as needed


  • 5+ years art production, art handling, and project management experience
  • BA in Art-related field preferred
  • Experience managing artists’ large-scale projects and installations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, adapt with changing priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in Photoshop + familiarity with Adobe product suite, Google Sketchup, Google Drive, Dropbox, and other administrative office management platforms and systems
  • Ability to physically assist with installation and occasional heavy lifting (~50 lbs. max)
  • Ability to connect and socialize quickly
  • Proficient with project management tools and social media platforms
  • Ability to identifying a problem or gap and creating quick solutions
  • Confident communication skills
  • Excellent collaborator, proactive, also works well autonomously
