We are hiring a 3D Asset Services Artist for our retail brand. 

Must have: 
* Strong generalist skills (both artistically and technically), with an excellent understanding of physically based shading & rendering. Vray and 3ds Max knowledge required. 

* Solid knowledge of applicable software packages including Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Vray, and ZBrush. 

* Knowledge in Marvelous Designer, Speedtree, and Railclone are a plus.

The 3D Assets team is a rapidly growing and changing division within the brand that is revolutionizing how models are created. This group is working on highly visible projects which drive innovation and market competitiveness daily for Wayfair. Our team’s ability to quickly create high quality photo realistic assets is a core differentiator for our company.

We are looking for a full-time, freelance 3D Generalist Artist (remote okay!) to achieve our goals of producing high quality photo realistic assets at scale. This individual will be responsible for the creation or modification of 3D Assets including, but not limited to products we sell on site, props for environmental imagery, architectural parts, plants, and soft goods . As part of our Assets team, you’ll work closely with our lighting and post departments. We are seeking someone who can build high quality photorealistic 3D Assets from start to finish including modeling, unwrapping, textures, materials, and rendering.

Successful applicants will be highly-driven, communicative, comfortable with constant change, great eye for detail, and will be able to demonstrate the skills needed to create photorealistic 3D Assets.

What You'll Do:

Execute daily production work building or modifying 3D Assets, guaranteeing assets are delivered at the highest quality bar and on time.
Responsible for modeling (soft and hard surface), unwrapping, rigging, sculpting, texture painting, and material creation.
Pivot regularly to meet our ever changing business needs. Remaining agile and organized will be a key to success 
\What You'll Need:

Solid knowledge of applicable software packages including Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Vray, and ZBrush.
Knowledge in Marvelous Designer, Speedtree, and Railclone are a plus.
High skill level of texture & material creation including wood, metal, glass, plastics, fabrics, organics like plants, wicker, etc.
2+ years working as an artist with a portfolio to demonstrate photorealistic asset creation.
Ability to take constructive feedback well and apply it to their work, daily.
Proven ability to work successfully within and across teams. We work closely with Lighting, Post, and Art Direction teams. Collaboration skills are mandatory.
You will need to be organized, proactive, and a self-starter. We are looking for a team player that can communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders in an approachable and personable way. Calm under pressure and committed to meet tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude.
