As a user experience researcher contracting with our recruiting products team, you will be working to enhance the candidates’ and the recruiting organization’s experience by building world class software tools. You will be a part of an established research team within enterprise products. Strong candidates will demonstrate a rigorous approach to UX research methods as well as have experience developing solutions and shipping enterprise products. Your experience should make you skilled at driving measurable positive impact on the product and users’ experience while collaborating with cross functional partners.
What you’ll do:
Partner with UX researchers, UX designers, engineers, data scientists, product managers and others to create, synthesize and share insightful research to inform product and business decisions.
Balance both business and end user needs while formulating and conducting insightful research.
Be adaptable in drawing from a wide toolkit of research methodologies to conduct timely, rigorous research at any point of the design cycle from formative to evaluative.
What we are looking for (minimum):
B.A./B.S. or M.A/M.S./Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Sciences, or a related field.
8+ years as an applied user experience researcher, developing and shipping software products.
Command of qualitative, user-centered research methods, such as: moderated and unmoderated usability studies, interviews, contextual research, literature reviews, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, survey design and analysis, etc.
Demonstrated understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
Ability to plan and conduct research in close collaboration with partners in a variety of roles, including design, engineering, and product management, and following through to take action.
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and adapt to changes.
Ability to learn quickly and comfortable with sometimes multi-tasking.
Needing minimal training or oversight.
