Job Description:

Large Media and Entertainment brand in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Brand Marekting Manager to join their Brand and Culture Lab Team. This is a 6-month temporary role with the possibility of extending. This role is remote during Covid, but candidates should be local to Los Angeles. 

The Brand and Culture Lab team is seeking a Brand Manager who will identify, develop, and inspire the brand marketing efforts to be best in class, forward-thinking, and culturally relevant. As a Brand Manager, you will be responsible for strategic campaign development and end-to-end campaign management of some of the brand’s biggest initiatives this year with a specific focus on our largest ever Pride initiative set to launch this June. Other campaigns will include efforts around Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Earth Day. Our ideal candidate will be tapped-in, and ready to explore new innovative ways of problem-solving as we increase our relevancy and our brand remains front-of-mind. In this role, you’ll report to the Director, Brand and Culture Lab, and work side by side with the Partnerships team and Live & Licensed team developing innovative initiatives that meet and fulfill the brand needs and desires of our audience in order to build brand love.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • A strong understanding of the complete brand management process and the ability to lead a campaign from start to finish with little supervision
  • A solid grasp on strategy and the ability to craft a smart campaign brief that ladders up to the larger brand strategy
  • Great cross-functional collaboration skills so that this person can truly shepherd the campaign throughout the entire organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to work closely with research to optimize campaigns according to performance data
  • You possess an almost uncanny skill for writing inspiring briefs, communication plans, and program recaps
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong sense of storytelling and framework mapping and knowledge of insights-driven creative solutions
  • An innate ability to understand what is relevant, on-trend, and outdated
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to deliver out of the box ideas for growth
  • Passion for and knowledge of TV, movies, music, sports, art, entertainment, diversity, and inclusion

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Brief development at the campaign level
  • Briefing of the creative team and management of the creative concepting process
  • Cross-functional taskforce management
  • Oversight of campaign development with assistance from other members of the team for detailed production management
  • Close collaboration with the CMI team to develop KPIs for specific campaigns and then monitoring, tracking, and reporting on the campaign effectiveness
  • Identify new channels and creative opportunities for the brand to activate.
