Job Description:

Aquent’s banking client is in the early stages of building a design strategy group from the ground up within its experience design studio. And we are seeking a Project Manager will work closely with the UX strategy team and studio operations to manage timelines, deliverables, and team members and collaborative partners. You can help drive projects from concept to execution, enabling our clients to achieve desired business outcomes and strategic objectives.

Location: 100% remote - must be in the US / authorized to work in the US. 

Opportunity: This will start out as a 6-month engagement and will likely extend; full time hours W2, with comprehensive benefits available. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and manage team activities around design strategy and innovation work; help establish what gets done and when, making sure project plans are feasible, with realistic targets and deadlines

• Act as the control center for a project by coordinating and consistently communicating with your team on all aspects of a project, including the workflow, milestones/deadlines, project deliverables and delivery, and budget tracking

• Develop comprehensive and detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

• Regularly update team/stakeholders on progress, relevant delays or issues – while

anticipating and effectively mitigating any problems that may arise

• Manage changes by stakeholders and impact on team, scope, timelines, and budget

• Help coordinate and manage meetings, project documentation, and other support activities for the team as needed

• Help identify and vet new resources, including strategists, researchers, designers

and writers

 

Qualities and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in creative and enterprise environments; agency experience strongly desired

• An energetic and experienced coordinator with excellent communication and project management skills - you love to organize, know how to make a gantt chart, can’t live without checklists, and are obsessed with ensuring things are getting done

• Experienced with and deep understanding of human-centered design principles and methodologies

• Proven ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment, effectively set priorities, and adapt to changing needs

• A team player and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking ability

• Experience using tools such as Workfront, Keynote, Figma, and Confluence
