Job Description:

Aquent's client is looking for a new Front End Designer to join their Communications Creative Department to help with internal and external web projects. This person will be responsible for designing great websites, owning every step of the design process. 

● Design new user-facing web features for our internal wiki system and external microsites
● Execute on all phases of the design process—from wireframing and designing brand visuals to completing engineering handoff
● Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
● Design highly efficient user-flow
● Design high quality mockups
● Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders, lead projects and communicate effectively and efficiently
● Coordinate with project managers and designers to ensure deliverables are understood and milestones are met with consistency and accuracy
● Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

● Minimum of 3 years of experience designing websites and a relevant work portfolio that shows a strong design process
● Likes taking ownership; is a self-starter and enjoys driving projects from beginning to end with the ability to exercise independent judgment
● Creative problem solver and collaborator
● Has strong technical skills and vision
● Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, Figma
● Proficient understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
● Understanding of proper page layout using the latest flexbox techniques
● Ability to adapt to different situations fluidly
● Can effectively communicate ideas and design decisions and can reason though proposals

● Ability to turn your high fidelity mock into a working product using HTML/CSS
● Ability to take on miscellaneous design projects for the team
● Familiarity with designing in the Google Workplace environment
