Job Description:

Aquent is recruiting for a Data Analyst to support a major compensation initiative for our Fortune 100 Financial Services client in Dallas! Financial services background is preferred but not required. The ideal Data Analyst will have 3-5 years of experience working with data and specifically evaluating data for HR. The Data Analyst will be skilled in  proficient with Microsoft Suite applications (Access, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word) and exhibit intermediate to expert level in Excel.

  • Strong math skills with ability to research complex questions and to conduct complex analysis of large data sets.

The opportunity:

  • Remote to start but we're looking for talent local to Chicago OR Dallas.
  • 12 month assignment with potential to extend and/or convert, 40 hours/week.

What you'll do:

  • Performs support activities to assist in development, implementation and administration of compensation policies and programs, focusing initially on market pricing reviews and activities.
  • Audits jobs using job descriptions for content reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements.
  • Reviews compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary and incentive information for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices and to determine company's competitive position.
  • Works with the compensation team to formulate recommendations for new or revised company salary structures, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • May prepare special studies and recommendations on subjects such as job grades, salary ranges, geographic differentials, incentive compensation or bonus plans.

What you'll have: 

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation or related field with emphasis on data analysis. Experience in Financial Services/Technology industries preferred.
  • Incumbents should be proficient with Microsoft Suite applications (Access, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word) and exhibit intermediate to expert level in Excel.
  • Strong math skills with ability to research complex questions and to conduct complex analysis of large data sets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • This role will initially be performed remotely. Incumbent should be comfortable working and communicating on a remote basis.
