Job Description:

This product is the voice-first personal assistant AI available through over 100 million devices and counting.

Sure, she sets timers for your kid’s screentime, plays your favorite music, and turns on your lights.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Every single day, This AI Product is getting smarter and adding new skills like tracking fitness, playing games, and more. Did you know she can recommend a wine to pair well with your dinner, find the right 20-minute workout for you (or even just a 5-minute workout!), and can deliver a weather report that’s specific to your address?

Your challenge (should you choose to accept it) is to make it easy for anyone and everyone to learn what this product can do for them, without searching a list of Product Skills, and as simply part of their day-to-day routine. We’re looking for a Sr. UX designer, not only to help new customers “meet the AI product,” but to help the AI meet YOU where you are, with the greatest convenience, simplicity, and humanity.

As the Sr. UX Designer, you will lead design initiatives that allow the program to elegantly share who she is and what she can do for each person she interacts with. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams focused on discovery and inspirational learning across endpoints. You will advise on roadmaps, set CX strategy, invest in research to drive customer-centric decision making, inspire divergent thinking to inspire creativity, spend time with customers to build empathy, and create core discovery experiences.

And that’s not all…

You will work on new end-customer experiences and also create CX frameworks that allow the many teams to know who is interacting with the program so that she can provide a welcoming personal experience that anticipates needs. As the center of design excellence for discovery experiences, your team’s work will translate big thinking into new patterns and best practices that you will drive across the design landscape.

This role will work with multiple teams. You will need to have top notch creative and influencing chops, including the ability to work across teams.

Required Skills:
• 7+ years of professional experience in the UX design field
• 2+ years of experience shipping consumer products
• An available online portfolio
• An understanding of current speech and language technologies
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Skills:
• Experience shipping multi-modal consumer products
• Experience with VUI/voice/conversational design
• Demonstrated ability to influence product decisions
• Demonstrated ability to drive customer/end-user impact
• A track record of ground-breaking work
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
• A track record of successfully working across teams to synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, and marketing
