We are seeking a a Social Media & Community Relations Specialist for a major healthcare client out of LA. This is 100% remote role open for candidates in the LA Market. Once it's safe, there will be onsite events in the LA Market that will require local presence. The contract starts at 1 year, with the potential to extend out for longer.

The Social Media & Community Relations Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Communications team to advance the goals of the Community Resource Centers (CRC).

Projects may include, but are not limited to:

Managing the CRC social media presence across multiple social media platforms, which includes developing content, securing imagery, and conducting research on best practices, identifying, vetting, evaluating, and securing approvals for sponsorships, and event planning and day-of event support at community events.


At least 3 years of demonstrated successful experience in a community relations and social media setting.

Experience with project management, including analytical and communication skills. 

Experience with establishing and maintaining relationships with external organizations.


Experience in a health care setting such as HMO/health plan or other managed care setting preferred

Successful candidates will be required to pass a drug test and background check prior to starting.
