We’re looking for a Brand Writer to join our Action Brands Brand Writing and Digital Merchandising team.
The writer in this role will create clear, persuasive copy for e-commerce, toy product packages, instructions, and other supporting written collateral. The core of this writer's work will be in ecopy development, including PDP strategy and SEO.
The successful Brand Writer will possess an established talent for creative writing, including the ability to write and strategize for an online audience, name products, and develop or write to signature styles that capture and define the essence of our brands, while working with insights that drive consumer engagement and sales of our products.
This writer must be capable of writing in a wide range of styles and of managing numerous concurrent projects at different phases of development. In addition to advanced writing skills, this writer must also possess strong project management, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. This position demands someone who can not only write creatively, but who can think creatively—someone prepared to contribute on-target ideas to multiple development teams and deliver work that's on-time and accurate.
What we're looking for:
Proven ability to deliver on-brand short- and long-form e-commerce copy that engages consumers in a compelling brand and product story
SEO understanding; SEO ninjas welcome
Strong project management skills. You'll be managing dozens of projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
Unbreakable attention to detail. Able to deliver error-free copy every time, without a safety net, no matter the timeline
Comfortable taking and incorporating feedback
Comfortable asking questions
Confident enough to advocate for your creative choices, savvy enough to know when and how to do that in a highly collaborative creative environment
Willingness to learn and stretch into new opportunities as they present themselves
Able to partner with a cross-functional team to source required information and gain alignment
Knows what a brand voice is and how to use it
Passionate about writing
Ability to create consumer-facing e-commerce product content
Experience working with major brands or writing for a mass audience is a plus, but talented writers looking to make the leap are encouraged to apply
