Job Description:

Our healthcare client is looking for 4 Instructional Designers to work remotely in one of their 5 managed states: IL, NM, OK, TX, and/or MT. 

Work Assignment Scope

Under direction of L&D departmental management or project strategist:

  • Implement content and formatting updates to learning materials (e.g., facilitator guides and visual displays such as slides, class/workshop participant materials, digital job aids, online quizzes and surveys, eLearning courses)
  • Note at least 1 (of the 4) positions will be converting legacy Lectora-authored eLearning courses into HTML-compatible formats (e.g., Captivate or Storyline)
  • Provide regular progress and status updates on assigned work
  • Coordinate review and approval activities and perform quality-control checks for updated learning materials

Work Arrangement

  • 100% remote
  •  ~40 hours/week
  • Availability during standard US Central Time business hours, with some flexibility possible based on pre-arranged circumstances
  • Use of own PC laptop with VDI
  • Our client will supply Captivate user license if contractor doesn’t have their own; prefer that contractor has own Storyline 3/360 user license

Qualifications

Mandatory

  • At least 3 years’ experience revising/copyediting instructional and technical content for use in synchronous (both physical and virtual classroom) and asynchronous (e.g., eLearning, job aids) workplace learning settings
  • Advanced user of MSWord, MSPowerPoint and PDF documents, including using formatting templates, etc., for developing learning materials
  • At least 2 years’ experience developing eLearning with standard authoring tools (Captivate, Storyline, Vyond, etc.)
  • Proven track record of operating against defined project schedules, including self-discipline in managing time and assigned work
  • Acute attention to detail and quality-control standards
  • Clear written and oral communications in a professional workplace setting
  • Expert user of basic business workplace technology (e.g., MSOffice suite including Outlook and Teams, SharePoint, VDI, WebEx)

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with/in call center, clinician/physician, and/or sales & marketing departments in a fast-paced healthcare or insurance organization
  • Experience converting legacy Flash content in eLearning courses into HTML-compatible formats
