Yes, We Are Hiring Sr. UX Designers! The good news during these challenging times is our globally recognized Fortune 100 brand, continues to build their in-house UX Design Team and would like for you to join the movement.  This one year freelance role (with opportunity to extend) is for Sr. UX Designer, currently remote for a NY based client, 40 hours a week, healthcare benefits provided, 401K, 5 paid sick days, more.

What You Will Do:

  • Our client is in need of a proactive, self-starter Sr. UX Designer to take the Risk Assessment project (investments, savings, etc.) to Phase 2 to identify prospective audiences, strategy, concepts and creative options. This is a complex project where multiple business stakeholders contribute with opinions, so you need to be confident  to manage these relationships
  • Work well with multiple stakeholders and build trusting relationships and help educate your Product Owner Team about the UX process in addition to delivering solid work, lead your Squad and advocate for the user needs (through research, etc.) 
  • Core Design Skills:
    • visually translate business requirements that solve a user problem, with a simple and clean intuitive layout considering various interaction states; cover off on what business is asking using a critical eye when designing based on what’s best for the user
    • present distinct solution options. If options are limited because of tech constraints - document what you considered but why it couldn’t be developed and articulate the pros and cons of each concept
  • Consistency with UX Guidelines:
    • Be familiar with best practices from which component to use for what (be familiar with Google material design and iOS HIG)
    • Become familiar with the client’s UX library and work closely with UI team when needing to review components on their designs

What You Need:

  • You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs
  • Strong Sr. UX Design communicator - visually and verbally (i.e. good listener, articulate, concise, able to filter down to the critical information to move the conversation forward)
  • Familiar with Agile and how UX fits into Agile
  • Experience in full range of UX experience, e.g. develop UX Application Strategy, understating of the business value, interfacing with Senior Management, managing and coaching UX Teams (designers, developers)
  • Communication with impact, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a focus on collaboration
  • Financial industry experience a plus
