Experienced event professional with 5+ years proven experience in event marketing and project management, specifically for large scale conference and trade show programs with multiple workstreams. Requires strong project management skills, complex budgeting, and ability to manage a timeline. Ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes. Highly motivated leader with high energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven ability in presentation and effective communication skills in formal and informal settings. Experience with leading and managing event vendors and on-site event staff. Strategic and analytical thinker who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling sponsorship strategy for partner success. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic working environment and build excellent rapport with internal teams; strong teamwork is a must. Motivated to learn in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll be doing…
The Event Marketing Contractor will support our growing global industry events and trade show programs. This position will work closely with the global marketing work streams, vendors, and events team to plan and execute quality in person and virtual experiences that delight the product community

Specific responsibilities include the following:

• Overall event management for assigned suite of global industry and trade show events.
• Pre-program planning and process management
• Risk assessment and management
• Concept/Idea generation
• Internal and external client and vendor management
• Attendee/Onsite Management
• Budget preparation and contract negotiation
• Driver of weekly planning meetings for assigned program or workstream
• Works to complete Event Plans; conducting needs analysis, establish for implementation, identifying key objectives, ancillary event plans, timelines, assigns and manages work provided by contributors as needed for successful event execution.
• Manage various internal stakeholders and vendor teams responsible for various functional areas of each event. Lead resource for driving the onsite execution plan development.
• Be in lock-step with other workstream leads to make sure participating working and attending staff have all they need to be successful on site.
• Measure impact and results. Evaluate program progress and results against defined metrics. Create or reengineer processes, resources, and/or structure to gain productivity and other program improvements.
• Works closely with Sr. Events Marketing Manager to report and manage event budget against the priorities set for each event.
• Ensure tasks, updates, project components, and owners are correctly assigned and on track.

Who you are…
• Educated. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related four-year degree.
• Experienced. 5+ years of experience in marketing coordination, events marketing, and project management.
• Domain. Experienced event professional with a passion for building process and results driven events. CPM preferred. Experience working on large scale conference and trade show programs with multiple workstreams.
• Strong project management skills, complex budgeting, and ability to manage a timeline. Ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes. Competing priorities and ambiguity do not slow you down.
• Leader. Highly motivated leader with high energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
• Excellent Communication. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven ability in presentation and effective communication skills in formal and informal settings.
• Experience with leading and managing event vendors and on-site event staff.
• Technically Savvy. Strategic and analytical thinker who is able to blend technology and business strategy to develop compelling sponsorship strategy for partner success.

Working Conditions:
The physical environment currently requires the contractor to work remotely. Contractor must be able to communicate and exchange information over the phone and/or via a computer. Employee must be able to perform work during the core working hours for the role and may be asked to work different and/or additional hours.
