Job Description:

Our part-time webcast specialist will manage and take responsibility for the entire webcast process for internal business communications. The webcast specialist oversees the entire production team (when a team is required), and may perform all production-related tasks to produce a webcast. They will work with business units and event coordinators (when needed) to successfully plan and execute these events and webcasts. They may also create and maintain event budgets.

The Webcast Specialist will also be responsible for the global live event viewing experience, recommending best practices and managing the implementation and maintenance of that infrastructure across all remote sites. This position is normally based at Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee and reports to the Managing Director from the Aquent Studios Eastlake office. Right now, it is a remote position.

Hours for this role will vary between 20-30 hours a week much of the time. Some weeks there may not be any help needed at all. 

 

Duties

•Management of event production processes and scheduling of Aquent staff, contractors and equipment

•Management of all live productions and live event a/v and webcasts

•Management of webcast delivery system

•Maintenance of Google webcast calendar and RAINStream webcast page on RAIN

•Collaboration with Business Unit event coordinators

•Management of select offsite live event employee experiences

•Development of best practices for local productions and offsite viewing

•Manage event production budgets

 

Required Knowledge or Expertise in:

• Web based video delivery

• Signal processing and routing

• Video encoding/transcoding

• Basic Video editing

• Basic camera operation

• Basic Audio production

• Windows Media Server operations

 

Software Proficiency:

•Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Accordent PresenterPro is a bonus

• Windows Media Encoder

• Media Players (Windows Media, Quicktime, Vlc, Etc.)

• Basic HTML skills

 

Required Experience:

• BA in media based studies or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in the following: Web delivery of video (basic web page development) and

Video encoding
