Large Media and Entertainment team in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join their marketing team. This is a 6-month opportunity with the possibility of extending. This role will be remote until offices are reopened. 

Large streaming provider's Marketing team is seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will be an exceptional addition to our Brand Social team. As a Brand Social Media Coordinator, you will work closely with the team to develop strategic and creative recommendations around series and films, support high-level marketing campaigns, assist in the creation of influencer/talent programs and assist with social media executions for events.

The right person for this role is passionate about pop culture, entertainment and TV. This person should have experience coordinating within editorial calendars and have solid storytelling skills through copywriting and be keenly aware of GIF, emoji and meme culture. They should also have experience driving insights from reporting, and the ability to build brand love through fan, influencer, and talent engagement. The ideal candidate will have expertise in social platforms including, but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat.   • Assist in developing strategies for the brand handles and ancillary content needed across social media channels
  • Help coordinate brand and culture campaigns supporting initiatives like Women’s History Month, Pride, Earth Day, and more
  • Serve as key contact for vendors, agencies and in some cases, social platform account teams: vendor onboarding, assist in budget tracking, day-to-day vendor contact
  • Contribute to quick turnaround talent and influencer social concept pitch opportunities
  • Propel projects forward from beginning to end, while optimizing changes to project scope and ensuring all project deliverables are clearly defined and meet social media best practices
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks for social media team members including editorial calendar management and content scheduling
  • Support Brand Social team efforts with special projects as needed
  • Oversee weekly reporting and make strategic recommendations based on research-driven insights
  • Ideate and create content around reactive opportunities, series and film releases, events and influencer/talent engagement
  • Provide social production support at brand, cultural and awards events


  • 1-3 years of experience in direct social media management and/or a minimum of 2 years project management experience at a creative agency or another brand
  • Expertise in marketing and social media campaign workflows, including understanding the creative and production process as they relate to social media content
  • Ability to work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams across various departments
  • Experience managing a high volume of project requests and asset deliverables from different internal partners for all social media channels
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and impeccable judgement
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently


  • Entertainment industry experience within a marketing capacity
  • Community management experience within the entertainment and/or lifestyle industry
  • Experience interfacing with in-front-of-the-camera talent and creative types
