Job Description:

We are seeking a Retail Operations Specialist who is able to work flexible hours (20-40/wk as needed) for a 3-6month seasonal project. Primarily works in an office environment with normal office and retail environment duties, based in San Francisco, but currently working remotely until COVID-19 related restrictions are lifted.

This team is looking to hire a multi-faceted, project management and execution focused specialist supporting the Business Operations with respect to ensuring a successful launch and operating model for retail stores. 


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Lead cross-functional project management for the opening of several new retail outlet stores in the US market
• Develop and implement project plans for store operational initiatives
• Create realistic timelines and follow-up with cross-functional partners to ensure all deadlines are met
• Strong attention to detail to ensure key milestones are not missed
• Maintain all project calendars
• Coordinate communications with cross-functional teams, field and external vendors
• Analyze initiative results and determine continual improvements to field programs
• Manage new store, remodel, relocation and closing store operations needs
• Develop and manage project calendar
• Coordinate and manage calls/meetings with key partners including kickoff and hindsight
• Act as liaison between corporate and stores
• Manage external vendor relationships (e.g., Supplies, Armored Carrier)
• Maintain and distribute non-vendor managed supplies
• Manage setup of new store management teams
• Maintain store lists, database and calendars
•Continuous improvement of new store, remodel, relocation and closing process including process, payroll allocation and timelines
• Manage fixture budgets and asset allocation
•Manage quarterly asset process including budgets and requests and act as liaison between Field and Finance to strategically deploy assets
•Manage asset allocation information
• Support development and implementation of policies and procedures as they relate to the new store, remodel, relocation and closing process
•Maintain and improve inventory, product management, shipment receiving and processing, replenishment, supply management and back of house organization policies and procedures
•Support training activities and materials
• Support development and implementation of education and training program for all store operations initiatives
• Assist with development of training content for all store operations initiatives
• Support home office initiatives
•Coordinate other projects as needed (e.g., distribution, IT)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience: Three to five years of experience in retail with focus on store operations or other equivalent project management experience
