Job Description:

Aquent's large financial industry client seeks a User Researcher (*REMOTE* / able to work EST hours) to support UX for web applications and authenticated sites. This team is developing the most effective and client-centered digital banking products for Retail clients. This will be a 3 month (full time hours) engagement to start and can extend beyond this. 

What you’ll do:

  • This role will heavily focus on user testing with remote groups. 

  • Also able to plan and conduct research on various projects ranging from exploratory research to concept validation. Methods may include: moderated and unmoderated usability studies, card sorts, tree tests, in-depth interviews, heuristic analysis, contextual inquiry, focus groups, surveys, A/B tests, and others.

  • Collaborate effectively with UX and UI designers within the Design team to deliver formative and summative research in cadence with the team’s design process. 

  • Work on cross-functional product teams, partnering closely with designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.

  • Generate insights that influence product strategy, feature design, and prioritization.

 

What you bring:

  • 2+ years experience in applied product/design research

  • Strong Qualitative Research background

  • Experience and comfort building rapport with research participants.

  • Strong skills in effectively eliciting insights, observations, and commentary from participants without leading or injecting bias.

  • Familiarity with study design principles.

  • Strong experience analyzing, synthesizing and delivering/presenting research.

  • BA/BS degree in Psychology, Sociology, HCI, Human Factors, User Experience or other related research field in the social sciences.
