Digital Analyst, Advanced Analytics & Insights


Ecommerce Analyst who will help us harness the power of data. Candidates should possess a strong
background in website analytics (adobe analytics), business intelligence tools, and internet
technologies. Additionally, a qualified Ecommerce Analyst has excellent communication, interpersonal,
and problem-solving skills. He or she is familiar with leading ecommerce solutions and applications,
particularly those that relate to data collection, data integration and analysis, channel attribution and
modeling, tag management, and a/b testing. Superior candidates have a mix of technical and business
acumen and are capable of making data-driven recommendations based on big-picture strategic thinking.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and annual website KPI’s. Report results and share recommendations with team and broader organization
  •  Support website analytics application and associated integrations
  • Create and deploy tags
  • Act as business liaison for future site features and how we will capture success metrics after implementation
  • Continually enhance data layer and ensure proper integration with website analytics application
  • Build goals, funnels/pathing, ad hoc segments that help ecommerce site merchandising team monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in on-site a/b testing and results analysis
  •  Perform ad hoc reporting and respond to analysis requests from various functions
  • Assist Ecommerce Managers and Product Manager in building (including business case development) and delivering the ecommerce product roadmap


Required Skills

  • Ability to identify the relevant data required (and build reports measuring the same) to achieve larger business objectives
  • Superior Excel skills: Ability to develop flexible excel models using disparate data sources
  • Ability to act very quickly within a fluid environment
  • Expertise in Adobe Analytics. Experience in developing rules-based segments and filters
  • Experience with Tealium
  • Understanding of the “data layer” concept and the implications that surfacing and collecting types of data will have on downstream analysis
  • Ability to develop and analyze user experience tests using Monetate, Optimizely, Maxymizer,vAdobe Target, or other a/b-testing platform
  • Financial acumen: understand how to measure return, various types of margin calculation, and have an opinion about lifetime value
  • General knowledge of what can be accomplished using “front end” web technologies and web API’s
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, both from a site architecture and meta-tagging standpoint as well as from an on-page content standpoint
  •  Competency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, Domo, Google Data Studio
  •  Experience with report design, feedback, and dissemination
  • Expert in analytics (Adobe) as well as consumer insights platform (ex: Opinionlab/Bazaarvoice)
  • Build new, ground-up strategy as architecture of digital/eCommerce web analystics as well as optimize current reporting
  • Support various business functions as well as deliver business actionable information via numbers and insights in succinct presentations
  • Build working partnerships across all functions in order to drive site merchandising insights and actionable data into optimizations
  • Support team on creating strong business case analysis of potential endeavors
  • Partner with different teams to come up with A/B test ideas as well as performing readouts

Requirements:

Desired Skills

  • Understanding/experience with large, multi-level product catalogs in enterprise ecom platforms(ATG, AEM, Magento Enterprise, WCS, Demandware, etc.)
  • Advanced statistics competencies. Capable of building probabilistic models
  • Competent in css, js/jquery, html
  • Ability to build SQL queries
  • Agile development
  • Project Management
  • Recommending and overseeing implementation of web-analytics-related changes to ecom platform(s)
  • Multivariate testing and analysis


Required Experience

  •  3+ years working in web analytics, business intelligence, data science, or as an ecommerce generalist with a focus on analytics for an ecommerce business or 5+ years using BI tools to collect & report on data in the digital space
  • A/B testing and analysis or usability testing

Education
Bachelor’s in Business, CS/Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (Masters is a plus)
