Job Description:

Our great, Silicon Valley, tech client seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their ML Platforms team. 

As a Software Engineer, you will help develop the next generation of ML Developer Tools using frameworks such as React.js. You should be familiar with React and its ecosystem. Past experience with a React codebase is a requirement. Experience also building components deeper in the stack such as Java-based web services is a big plus. Seeking someone who is comfortable with a fast-moving environment and can learn quickly.



Note: Role can sit in SV OR SEA

Responsibilities
Develop new components and features for client's frontend app(s)
Document and refactor client's frontend codebase
Profile and improve our frontend performance

Primary Requirements
Technical skills and experience in front-end, middleware, and messaging systems
Strong software development skills, with proficiency in relevant languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, Javascript, CSS).
A passion for making simple, robust products used by other engineering teams
Creative, collaborative, and product-focused

Additional Requirements
Experience building responsive web experiences using modern frameworks and techniques (e.g. React.JS, Ember.JS, Angular, etc) and knowledge of HTML & CSS
4+ years' experience building Web applications with a Javascript framework, and preferably 1+ years using React
Familiarity with message-passing, queuing, and workflow systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, SQS, Luigi, Scalding)
Experience building intuitive client libraries and command-line tools
Experience with operating production systems (monitoring, alarming, problem diagnosis)
In-depth understanding of Javascript, the DOM, and relevant concepts
Understanding of progressive web apps
Experience using Git
Experience with data visualization a plus
Effective cross-functional collaboration across multiple engineering teams
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
